Parent Support Organizations

Riverwood is fortunate to have five active parent support organizations that we refer to as 'Boosters.' 

Please find information below (listed alphabetically) on what each one does and how to support it. Each of these organizations relies on financial and volunteer support from parents.

BOB - The Band and Orchestra Boosters support our Band and Orchestra students through service advocacy and fundraising. This collective program is comprised of concert groups at every level – from picking up an instrument for the first time to future professional musicians – and includes Concert Bands and Orchestras, Marching Band, Color Guard, Winter Guard, Jazz Ensemble, School Musical Pit Band, and Orchestral Chamber Ensembles. We have a place for anyone who has ever wanted to play an instrument and perform in front of an audience. Join us by signing up to volunteer or making a donation to expand our impact and programs. PABA - The Performing Arts Booster Association is a group of parents, teachers, administrators, and friends working together to support the chorus and drama programs at Riverwood. Donations and fundraisers finance the acquisition of music, scripts, sets, costumes, lights, sound, and other important items. Parents also donate their time to help with productions. PTSA - Parent Teacher Student Association The Riverwood Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is an inclusive organization of enthusiastic parents, teachers, students and staff who support our school through volunteering, community-building, and fundraising. The Riverwood PTSA remains committed to supporting Riverwood including implementing alternatives to traditional support when possible. RAA - Riverwood Athletic Association The Riverwood Athletic Association (RAA) is dedicated to raising funds for the benefit of ALL Riverwood Raider sports teams and athletic facilities. Through the collective support of membership dues, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives, the RAA drives essential improvements and ensures the upkeep of sports equipment and training facilities. Some recent contributions include: the new athlete weight room, stadium scoreboard, coach incentives, and additional equipment and supplies for our two Children’s Healthcare Athletic Trainers.

The Riverwood Foundation is focused on connecting community, engaging students, and enhancing the learning experience. We support Academic Enrichment (implementing and sustaining innovative programs such as the MakerSpace and the outdoor classroom and garden and supporting the AVID and IB programs); and Professional Learning (training programs to support teachers).
