International Thespian Honor Society (Troupe #6083)

The International Thespian Society is the only theatre honor society for middle and high school students in the United States. Affiliation brings credibility and distinction to students, theatre programs, and schools. It is a visible, positive symbol of the quality of your theatre program.

ITS recognizes, rewards, and encourages student achievement and celebrates the work of students in all aspects of theatre – performance and production. Each student is honored on a national level and gains access to opportunities and resources beyond those of their school.

This year we will be going to the Georgia Thespian Conference in Columbus Georgia February 6-8. All Inducted Thespians are invited

To be an inducted Thespian at Riverwood ICs you must meet the following requirements.

• 10 points | 1 point = 10 hours of quality work

• Good Standing Academically (passing 6/8 courses at all times)

• Good Standing Behaviorally (No ISS or OSS)

Chorus:

About our Program

The Chorus Program at Riverwood International Charter High School is comprised of diverse and dedicated students from all backgrounds and interests. We pride ourselves on our musicality on and off the stage, as well as our community-focused classes that create a "family feel" in rehearsals.

Intermediate Women's Chorus is comprised of non-auditioned freshman treble voices. The class meets 2nd block on B days.

Advanced Women’s Chorus is comprised of non-auditioned treble voices, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The class meets 4th block on B days.

Mastery Mixed Chorus is an auditioned group of mixed voices including soprano, alto, tenor and bass. This group meets 3rd period on B days.

Rhapsody Acapella is our main performance group and only choir outside of classes. Chosen through auditions, these students are very committed to our chorus program even though they do not have the space on their schedule for a class.
