GRADE LEVEL INFORMATION

Dear Class of 2026,

Riverwood counselors want to remind you that all students in Fulton County Schools have access to Schoolinks, which can be accessed through ClassLink. As you begin your senior year, we strongly encourage you to visit Schoolinks to research and plan for college, explore careers, and to find scholarships.

For students planning to attend college, you will need to become familiar with the different platforms’ colleges use to have students apply. These platforms include:

·         Common Application

·         GaFutures

·         Common Black College Application

·         Individual College Application Portal (visit school’s admissions website)

If you are using Common Application to apply to college, you will need to:

1.      Create your Common App account.

2.      Complete your Common App essay prompts.

3.      Do not request counselor or teacher recommendations until after August 1st.

4.      Counselor and teacher requests for recommendation will be processed starting September 1, 2025

Another task to consider includes completing the Senior Recommendation Survey which is now available now in Naviance (Task: Schoolinks Dashboard-->To Do List). Complete it over the summer to ensure your counselors and teachers have the needed information to complete an outstanding recommendation for you. Counselor and teacher requests for recommendation will be processed starting September 1, 2025

If you are interested in going into the workforce, military, or desire to explore other options outside of college, please contact your assigned counselor in the fall. We are eager to help you develop a plan!

Ms. Garber's hours for the 2025-2026 school year are:

Tuesday:  7:30 AM -3:30 PM

Wednesday:  7:30 AM-11:30 AM

Thursday:  7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

College Rep Visits

We will use a live QR code for students to register for information sessions from colleges of interest.  The link will be updated as new reps visits are confirmed.

All juniors and seniors registering to attend a college information session must obtain a yellow College Visit Pass from the College/Career Center to be signed by the teacher of the class that will be missed at least one day prior to the session. The students must bring the signed pass to the information session.
